Took awhile but it’s here more about our travel romance and our love for home.
As promised in the sneak pic in our travel romantics post, today I bring you Uganda’s waterfalls. there are couple of them but I will dwell on two for today.
Murchison falls. This is my all-time favorite! yes it is one of the hidden marvels that my home posses.
Murchison falls is found on the great river Nile both a marvel and a natural wonder with rainbows and crocodiles on the river banks it is one of the many things worth viewing while here in our home. the hiky trails that get you to the top of the falls make the experience more exciting and the reward at the end of the hike is even better! the breathtaking,refreshing, misty environment that welcomes you atop the falls will make you forget the long tiring hike in a heartbeat.
Sipi falls.The other water fall, a hidden and unexplored jewel that also calls Uganda home, sipi falls is at a greater height than Murchison falls making the view from either above or below more spectacular as well as giving you a greater hiking challenge. this is majorly because it lies on edge of the elgon mountain in the eastern part of the country.
At both falls a wilderness thrill awaits you, Murchison falls is in the middle of the untamed natural wilderness of the west Nile region, giraffes, baboons, buffaloes, elephants plus lots of birds among others are a bonus siting in this part of the place I call home. With sipi falls lying around the Mt. elgon area, hikes here will give you a stunning view of the Mt.elgon slopes, Karamoja plains and avast deserted moorland of the elgon area all the while spotting occasional antelopes, several wild cats, waterbucks among others. …. and quite frankly in my opinion there is nothing left to tell when your in such company!
The nice and purely natural-nature trails, the cool tropical air uncontaminated by nothing can be just what you need to unwind and let loose!
The natural beauty is immense, so much more than I could write here and finish. it is enough to make you fall in love, with memories that stick with you forever. But then again what can I say we are travel romantics after all and for us these are sites worth seeing we can only hope that with this you too can see what we see, feel what we feel, fall in love and join in.., on our love for travel and most especially our love for home!
